All paper starts as pulp.
Pulp is the porridge type mixture which is made from one species of logs going through a process of grinding or chemical treatment which separates the fibres of the wood.

Pulp then becomes paper.
Each pulp will create a paper with certain qualities. One might be more see-through, one might be whiter, one might be smoother.

By combining different pulps we can create a paper with the exact qualities we need. Some paper can be made from 10 pulps or more.

Forest Friendly is not easy!
The source of each of the trees which make up each of the pulps needs to be established in order for the final paper to be considered ‘forest friendly.

Step 1
The wood is processed to seperate the fibres and create a pulp.
Step 2
The pulps we need to give the right quality paper are blended together.

Step 3A huge machine removes excess liquid and turns the pulp into huge reels of paper.
Step 4
Finally the big reels are chopped into small reels ready for the printing presses.
