The Mr Gum Songbook

The Lamonic Bibber Choral and Cat-Racing Society was founded in 1940 during the War, when everyone was bored of getting hit by bombs and needed cheering up. The Society exists to promote singing in all its glorious forms, plus we sometimes have cat races.

Last year's winner was a big brown one called Fluffmonger. But anyway. Within this songbook you will find the words and music to some of our little town's most celebrated airs, including the previously unreleased 'Me and Uncle Radish'.

For historical interest we have also included a traditional 13th Century ryhme, plus it helps fill the pages up.

We hope you will enjoy performing these songs and that they bring a little ray of sunshine into your horrible, horrible lives.

For as William Shakespeare himself once wrote:

Music is like a wonderful hedge 'pon which dreams of berries grow.
