Egmont Publishing (UK) and Hardie Grant Egmont (Australia) are thrilled to announce their joint acquisition of To Night Owl From Dogfish, by New York Times bestselling authors Holly Goldberg Sloan and Meg Wolitzer.

This middle-grade novel, which early readers have described as being in the spirit of The Parent Trap for a new generation, follows the correspondence between bookish, intense Avery (Night Owl) and fearless, outgoing Bett (Dogfish) who are determined to interfere in the blossoming romance between their two dads.

Told entirely through emails and letters, To Night Owl From Dogfish is a hilarious and uplifting story of unlikely friendship and the real meaning of family, starring a diverse cast of characters.

Holly Goldberg Sloan and Meg Wolitzer said: ‘We adored writing this book together, sending emails back and forth in a great fever of excitement that was spurred on by our own growing friendship.’

Holly Goldberg Sloan was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is the author of the New York Times bestsellers Counting by 7s and Short, among other novels. After graduating from Wellesley College and spending some time as an advertising copywriter, she began writing family feature films, including Angels in the Outfield and Made in America.

Meg Wolitzer is the New York Times bestselling author of The Female Persuasion, The Interestings, The Ten-Year Nap, The Position, and The Wife (currently a major motion picture starring Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce), among others. She is also the author of the young adult novel Belzhar.

To Night Owl From Dogfish will be published on 21 February 2019 in paperback at £6.99.
